These wrappers are easy to apply to your candy bars. You can either use a glue stick or double stick tape. I prefer the tape as it allows for repositioning if you need to without the mess and provides a more professional look. Hershey’s has modified their 1.55 bar as a security measure to reduce the risk of tampering. Below are instructions for both the traditional and full wrap.
Traditional
The first step is to tape down the ends of the Hershey® wrapper then cover with a sheet of aluminum foil. We bought ours at Sam’s Club, a box of 500, 9” x 10.5” and cut to fit. Do not remove the candy bar from the Hershey wrapper.
Line up the front of your wrapper with the foiled covered candy bar so that your graphic is centered on the front of the bar.
Now fold the inside of the wrapper towards the back of the candy bar.
Apply the tape along the edge of the bottom side.
Next fold the back of the wrapper around the bar. Line up the edges on the ends of the bar to make sure they are not crooked.
Seal the wrapper by pressing firmly paying particular attention to the sides.
Full Wrap
Add a border on both right and left sides of the wrapper in either the same color of the wrapper or a coordinating color.
When you apply the glue or tape also apply it to the sides.
After you wrap the bar, press and smooth the side edges together on top of the Hershey wrapper edge. This will completely seal the bar and none of the Hershey® wrapper will show.
